CCE offers programs and services that assist Palestinian entrepreneurs to establish and operate successful small businesses.  We help individuals identify new business opportunities and once established, help those same businesses reach their vision of success and maintain an enthusiasm and drive. This Diploma consists of nine inter-related courses both practical and theoretical in nature. The total duration of the diploma is 340 hours. Delivery approach relies on a unique combination of in-class sessions, E-learning, and internship at existing successful companies with intensive mentoring from the “market gurus”.

Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurs around the world own special pioneering traits that help them turn a good idea into a tangible money making business. This course will help you explore the different basic competencies that define an Entrepreneur. It will also address the meaning of entrepreneurship and defines the necessary steps for beginning a new venture in life. A primary goal of this course is to help you develop your entrepreneurial competencies which you’ll need in facing the challenges and handling the responsibilities of Entrepreneurship. For almost all Palestinian entrepreneurs, the most pressing question – aside from financing of course – is how to find a creative idea, develop it and turn it into a successful business . In this course we will also look into different ways for identifying a business idea. At the end of this curse each participant should have at least 1 business idea which is tested using the prefeasibility tools.

This is not a lecture-based course; the material will be mostly cases, exercises and simulations. We will also try to make the most benefit of the diversified experiences you have and this will enrich the discussions during classes and through the online sessions. The course is organized in the blended mode, and you will be graded for your participation in both face – to – face and online sessions.

 

Entrepreneurial Marketing

In this Course you will be introduced to the marketing aspects of the business. The philosophy of marketing will be introduced to the customer development model, as well as the technology life cycle and how would those relate to your business idea/concept. You will be familiarized with the Concept/Project Evaluation and to how convert their business idea into a product/service concept. Trainees will be introduced to the different methods of estimating and testing the market. Trainees are expected to design a survey to test their idea/product. SurveyMonkey will be used in the survey design. You will then be introduced to the concepts of costing and pricing. Trainees will be exposed to various types of costs and pricing strategies. The value proposition will also be introduced to inform the trainees on the importance of value in marketing. We will introduce marketing communication, and the various elements of marketing communication. The sales marketing machine model will be introduced. The sales marketing machine is designed to help in identifying buyers and the buying process. This course will end with a case study on costing and pricing. A simple cost- price-volume analysis exercise will be given to students to calculate costs and prices at different volume levels.

Entrepreneurship Financing

This course outlines how entrepreneurs could raise money and build an understanding of the financial issues that face entrepreneurs and financiers in that process. The module analyzes the basic features of various financing arrangements for entrepreneurs such as bank financing, venture capital financing, angel financing, and funding from corporate investors.

Operations Management

In this Course the participants will review some of the statistical concepts which will be used during the upcoming training sessions. We will discuss some of the basic concepts that benefit planners and workers in the production department. The participants will gain some skills for measuring efficiency, and how to use some methods to help them in managing their projects. Participants will then be introduced to the forecasting of the future products demand, since the production should meet the demand. Participants will apply the concepts and method learned in the previous sessions to their own projects. Consequently, we will discuss some of the concepts of quality management and put statistical tools for quality control. Also they will discuss methods of determining the production capacity. Decision Process in Operations will be introduced. Participants will apply the concepts and method learned in the previous sessions to their own projects, and then we will discuss how to manage inventory to reduce costs as much as possible, and then move on to how to choose the location of the project.

 

 

Managing SMEs Banner

This Course will expose the participants to the different areas in project management with different examples and cases including, decision making concept; Strategy framework development and the five forces of Porter, growing your business. Management of your business/entity has different elements to worry about and consider. As we talk about project management, Porter’s five forces, it becomes very important to give attention to the supply chain in addition to managing your brand. Through all of that, each day we probably negotiate different issues with different stakeholders. Whether personal or professional, we go through different kind of negotiations. It becomes more crucial when you start your business and when you run it. Negotiation is more needed and knowing the main concepts becomes important for every business person.

Financial Management

First, we will be looking at the mechanics of how accounting works and how accounting will help you plan and understand how your organization is performing. You will be introduced to the double entry principles, and how to record the transactions in the T accounts. We will go through the process of recording transactions, we also demonstrated the effect of transactions on the financial statements. These transactions are historical in nature and the decision to obtain is affected by the financial results. Also, the profit received at a given year could be or might not be achieved at the next year which depends on the surrounding factors that impact an enterprise. In this session, we introduce the concept of planning to achieve future dreams and formulation of budget for the Balance sheet, Income Statement, and Cash flow for companies to achieve attainable results. Finally, planning is a tool to transform dreams and goals into reality. The course will provide definition of Budget, types of Budgets, and the budgeting process. You will be exposed to the topic Cost Volume Profit Analysis. An introduction to the capital investment analysis will be provided. Usually, long-term investments requires large amount of money so it is important to analyse and choose suitable investment among alternatives that yield the highest return. Finally, an overview of the finance terminologies for building the 3 sets of financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement. It also includes Breakeven-Point for Multiple Products and investment tools to evaluate capital expenditures. Among these tools, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Payback period and others. Practical cases to enrich the learning are presented during the session, with Excel to formulate the equation and assist in making decision. The session continues with concept of financial analysis and its importance to evaluate the performance of an enterprise for two-year comparable period. Finally, demonstrate the financial model to use for building the financial section at the business plan.

Economics Banner

This course will expose the participants to an introduction about the Palestinian economy, Types of production and development trends, programs which support entrepreneurship, Investment opportunities, and the ways to improve the competitive advantage. We will also go into details about the most fundamental concepts of economics: supply and demand, the basic premise of these indicators equilibrium which will be integrated into their daily actions.

Business Plan Development

During the past 8 modules in the Entrepreneurship program the participants had learned a broad knowledge of business practice and developed a range of skills through the experiential training all over the program. In this module the participants are expected to develop a real business plans for their business ideas. And this will require drawing all the concepts and practices they had gained together.

Legal Environment Course Banner

In this course participates will be introduced to the Registration and Licensing & Fees for Companies and NGOs. You will also be introduced to the main procedures that should be considered in case of leasing or buying an office for the new business. Also they will be introduced to the Labor Law and its applications. Finally, you will be introduced to the main components of the contracts and the legal procedures for contracting.
