Center for Continuing Education

A dynamic and responsive center constantly engaged in exploration and innovation

The Center for Continuing Education (CCE) was established in 1991 as a community outreach program arm of Birzeit University in Palestine. Although we are part of the University organizational structure and we have access to the wealth of resources the University has to offer, yet we are not bound by the academic structures of the University, which has positioned us as a dynamic and responsive center constantly engaged in exploration and innovation - able to adapt quickly and respond to the quickly changing landscape on the ground. We focus on four parallel strategic programs and services.

Our Programs and Services

Our Business and Entrepreneurship (a.k.a Business Hub) was established in 2017 through the support of the European Union. It is an innovation space within the Center at Birzeit University designed to nurture ideas and creativity and provide an environment which is conducive to creating new businesses or developing existing ones. We work with potential entrepreneurs to develop and turn their business ideas into successful commercial ventures, and also work with Small and Medium size Entity’s (SMEs) to assess their business models, review their operation and production processes, re-think their marketing strategy, among other services.

We provide our consulting services to two groups: Start-ups, and established businesses.

We design, develop, test, scale, and implement the dissemination of innovative, successful, and localized models and methodologies that generate best possible results in the local fragile context through supporting the growth of our educational sector, businesses, governmental Institutions, non-governmental, and community-based organizations across Palestine, with a special focus on those that are rurally based, youth-focused, and female-managed.

Our mandate is not limited to the external community. CCE is also engaged in extra and co-curricular programs within the University community that serve to empower students and also link them with the community outside.
