Course Description

In this course we have selected exciting topics and activities for teaching participants the development stages and its dimensions in children and adolescence development.

Objectives

Identify concepts related to growth and development such as maturity, critical period, readiness, learning, genetics, environment and other concepts
Identify concepts related to cognitive and moral growth and development
Learn about the stages of human development
Understand the concept of innovation/creativity
Learn about cognitive development during the different stages of growth
Discover the different manifestations and patterns of human development
Discover the different ways to develop innovative thinking
Comparing the patterns of development of children's thinking with the patterns of development of adults' thinking
Linking developmental manifestations and human behavior to some principles related to human behavior
Learn about the concept of multiple intelligences versus traditional intelligence
To identify the phenomenon of attachment and its reflections on the growth patterns of individuals at different stages of life
Understand the factors affecting human behavior
Learn about Piaget's theory of cognitive development and its applications
Comparison of secure attachment versus insecure attachment on the lives of individuals
Distinguishing between temperament and personality and linking this to human behavior and personality
Learn about Kohlberg's theory of moral development and its applications
Identifying the stage of adolescence in terms of its psychological, social and emotional characteristics, and its most prominent developmental problems
