The Educational Objectives of xLOBs
xLOBs were designed with the following objectives in mind
Transformation
To create a transformative educational model able to upgrade the learning outcomes of existing educational systems so they would graduate youth capable of meeting the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities of the 21st century.
Ownership
To forge partnerships with governments and key educational providers in supporting an educational transformative process through the integrating xLOBs in current educational systems.
On-going development
To constantly research, develop and integrate new pedagogical and technological developments into the model and explore its implementation in various pathways to learning.

Traditional
xLOBs
One way flow of information. Teacher to Student
High interaction between the teacher and the students during the activities through which teachers deliver the knowledge and the students recreate it.
Teachers teach the lesson but does not check feedback of the students and whether they gained the knowledge needed or not.
Teacher helps students create the knowledge that they need to learn and understand.
Almost no interaction between students while learning
Embedded in xLOBs are activities that needs high interaction and cooperation between students.
Emphasis is on theory without practical and real-life situations
xLOBs includes activities and objects from real life and in the local context, that helps the students understand the theory behind it.
Students memorise as opposed to understand.
Students observe and understand the subject area.
Performance of students is measured with grades and marks not the results achieved.
Performance of students is also measured by knowledge created by students and the skills that they have gained.
A dry narrative approach to the subjects being studied, which only delivers information to students in isolation of their other needs or the local context.
Personal development and necessary skills like teamwork, handcrafting, coder/maker, problem solving, and integration with the local community are built-in components in the learning objects. Moreover, xLOBs where built by Palestinians for Palestinians.
