Course Description

Law is the regulating tool for all the trade relations between people, and therefore the law is a social reality related to the facts of society. It is related to psychology, economics, sociology, politics, history, etc. This course aims to identify the the different laws in general and explain their functions, as well as to identify the Palestinian laws applied in the field of sports and international laws, regulations, charters and agreements dealing with sports affairs, especially in neighboring countries. One of the objectives of this course is to build the practical ability of the participant in dealing with the practical legal reality in the various relationships formed between legal persons, individuals and the state / government institutions. This course is divided into (5) weekly meetings and aims to develop the capabilities of the participants and improving their skills in understanding the laws concerned with sports affairs.

  • Learn about sports law and its branches
  • Determining the relationship of sports law with international regulations, instructions, charters and sports norms applied in Palestine
  • Familiarization with the procedures for registering legal persons and institutions with the competent authorities such as federations, associations, clubs and non-profit companies concerned with sports affairs, based on the applicable laws in Palestine
  • Understand the laws and regulations of professionalism in all its aspects
  • Learn how to resolve contractual disputes and disputes arising from sports activities locally, regionally and internationally, whether by amicable means, legal arbitration, or with the competent courts
